Seaside Cottages share 500 feet of bold granite and stone beach shoreline with a southwesterly exposure on Blue Hill Bay. The sunsets from this location are truly breathtaking. Our location is private, decidedly uncommercial, and yet convenient to the facilities of the surrounding towns including Bar Harbor. While we enjoy living in the relative quiet of the western side of Mount Desert Island, the activities of Acadia National Park are literally at our back door.
Please come and enjoy our cottages whether you need a lovely private honeymoon cottage or just a peaceful, quite vacation home. You will find our rates competitive and the setting incomparable.

Adjoining our lovely cottages overlooking Blue Hill Bay, Aldernest offers you a private 2-acre location with a westerly orientation so you may view beautiful sunsets over the Bay.

Each unit has two bedrooms...Aldernest Loft with a queen-size bed and a twin/trundle bed...Aldernest Den with one queen-size bed and two twins.

Each unit also features:

Living room and dining area
Fully equipped kitchen
Bathroom with shower
Washer and dryer
Electric heat
Pillows and blankets are amply provided.
Note: Tenants are asked to provide their own bed, bath and kitchen linens.
