The pier offers spectacular views, food, souvenirs, kites, fishing equipment and free fishing. Try your skill at Grunion hunting on the beach after midnight when the small fish run up on the beach to spawn. As the sun begins to set, get ready to rock n' roll or enjoy a relaxed dinner from many of our fine restaurants, or casually dine at one of the outdoor cafes. Over 100 fire pits are located up and down the beach for roasting marshmallows and hotdogs. After dinner, take a romantic stroll down the boardwalk and catch a breathtaking sunset from the pier while gazing over the edge at some the world's finest surfers. Beach concessions offer food, drinks, beach/sports rental equipment and surfing lessons. Pets will have an enjoyable experience at Doggie Beach, tucked below the bluffs just a half mile up from the "people" beach.
