The farmhouse stands on the route of the Blue Stack Way and is a popular stopping-off place for walkers and ramblers. It is only a short distance from the Owenea river with its well stocked supplies of fish. For golfers there is the eighteen hole course at Narin, about 10 kilometres from Glenties. Shops, bank, restaurants, and pubs with traditional music are only five minutes drive away in the town of Glenties. This is an ideal location for touring to Slieve League (Europe's highest sea cliffs) and Glenveagh National Park and Castle.

Glenties is situated a few kilometres from the sea. An abundance of amenities for both active and passive pursuits, makes the town a mecca for tourists to the North West of Ireland. Here, the visitor can also enjoy the beautiful scenery of the surrounding countryside, that stretches from the glens around the town, beyond to the Blue Stack Mountains to the south and Gweebarra Bay and the Atlantic Ocean to the west.
