This charming three bedroom, three bath all ensuite "Key West" style house is a weekly rental.

With an Englewood address, walking distance to northern Manasota Key Beach and only a thirty minute drive to down town Sarasota, Lemon Key House offers the utmost in quietude, convenience and comfort.

Our property is an hour and half north of Sanibel (thirty minutes south of Sarasota) in a little known town called Englewood. Our "Key West" style home in Englewood offers wonderful privacy and is less than a ten minute walk to the beautiful and unpopulated beaches of Manasota Key. We call our home in Englewood Lemon Key House because of its proximity to both Manasota Key and Lemon Bay. Lemon Key House has three ensuite bedrooms and is light and bright and welcoming. It is a weekly rental.

What is the Lemon Key House?

Lemon Key is a beautiful and bright vacation rental home near Manasota Key in Florida. Manasota Key is about 30 minutes South of Sarasota on the Gulf of Mexico.

How big is the Lemon Key House?

Lemon Key, a stilt home with three levels, is a total of 1600 square feet of indoor living space with three bedrooms and three bathrooms.

How many people can Lemon Key accommodate?

With private sleeping accommodations, the home sleeps six, but there is also a sleeper sofa in the living room which can sleep two for a short term accomodation.

Are there any restrictions in terms of renting?

This is strictly a non-smoking rental house with a no pets policy. Children are welcome, however, we caution families with toddlers that the open design of the house and three story structure may impose inconvenience and safety hazards.

Is there outdoor space?

Yes, Lemon Key has a screened in porch, a second floor deck and the third floor provides limited seating on the widow's walk.

Is there a view from Lemon Key?

The porch looks over the top of the few homes in this little "village" and the widow's walk overlooks a beautiful panorama of trees with Lemon Bay in the distance. Just past Lemon Bay is a "sliver" view of the Gulf of Mexico.

How far from the Manasota Key Beaches is Lemon Key?

The lovely northern beach of Manasota Key on the Gulf of Mexico is within a 10 minute walk, a few seconds by car or bike. (Please see map section for view of Lemon Key House and its proximity to Manasota Key Beach)

Can my family and I swim on Manasota Key?

The Gulf of Mexico is a beautiful place to swim, generally emerald green and calm as a lake.

Can we swim in Lemon Bay?

Lemon Bay is a lovely boating only body of water.

Are there other boating adventures near by?

Yes, this is still the natural side of Florida with less development and more wild life and natural rivers and creeks for exploration. The perfect place to tune out crowds, noise and the intrusion of commercialism.

How far are restaurants and other "civilized" amenities.

There are many restaurants in Englewood, at Englewood Beach and on the southern end of Manasota Key. Dining and shopping are readily available with in a six minute drive and Sarasota's cultural scene is only a 40 minute drive away.

Is the kitchen fully equipped to cook at home?

Yes, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, a coffee maker and many other cooking aids are supplied for you.

What about condiments and dishwashing liquid?

Each time Lemon Key is cleaned, we supply a small starter kit of detergents and other cleaning agents, as well as paper towels and toilet paper. All food items must be purchased by our paying guests.

Do we have to pay for the cleaning?

Not unless there is damage during your stay. You will find the unit spotless when you arrive and cleaners will be in on the day you check out at no cost to you if all is in good repair at your departure.

Do we bring our own towels or sheets?

All sheets and towels, new and of good quality, are provided, including beach towels. We also provide beach chairs and a beach umbrella to our renters.

Is there a phone in the house?

Yes, you can make local calls direct from the phone but must use your own calling card or long distance operator for calls outside the immediate area. For your convenience, the phone we provide also has an answering machine.

Is there home entertainment?

You will find a tv hooked up to cable and a vcr, stereo/cd player, videos, books,& jigsaw puzzles to entertain you and your family. And there's always the porch with the overhead ceiling fan where you can do absolutely nothing but listen to the crickets and birds.

Is there a library nearby?

There is a large library only four miles away with a good selection of books, community lectures and ten computer stations hooked up to the internet.

What is the area like where Lemon Key is situated?

The small village-like, quiet neighborhood of Manasota Gardens in Englewood is near-beach residential with most homes on larger pieces of property and many with beautiful landscaping. Lemon Key and most of its neighboring homes sit on half an acre of property.

RATES: What are the rental rates? All rates are contingent on season, number of weeks and number in party. Please inquire on your specific dates.

• Off season: $550 per week minimum
• Christmas and New Years: $1,000 per week minimum
• High season: $1,000 per week minimum
• Shoulder season: $750 per week minimum

Our rentals will be on a Saturday to Saturday basis only during high season. We are open to negotiation for start/end date during low season contingent on availability.
