SOUTH BEACH

The beach is nice if you want water without long marches across hot sand, and a popular clothing-optional section at the north end of the beach lures people who want a total tan.  Other offerings include tennis, volleyball, kite flying, kayaking, charter-fishing excursions, and a par-3, 9-hole golf course. CORAL GABLES
This elegant Spanish and Mediterranean-style
residential district was created by developer George Merrick during the boom years of the 1920s. Today, it contains some of the city’s finest architecture, set amidst landscaped plazas and parkways. Some buildings are preserved as historic landmarks, including the stunning Biltmore Hotel. The remarkable Venetian Pool, transformed from a mere rock quarry in 1923, has exotic bridges and waterfalls and reveals the lavish Coral Gables lifestyle of the period. Today, it is the only swimming pool on the National Register of Historic Places. Comprising 83 acres, Fairchild Tropical Garden is the largest tropical botanical garden in the continental United States. Eleven lakes, a rain forest, and lots of palm trees, cycads, and flowers, including orchids, mountain roses, bellflowers, coral trees, and bougainvillea make it a garden for the senses. 

Coral Gables is also known as the home of University of Miami, and for offering fine art galleries, shopping, golf, restaurants and hotels.

Vizcaya is a beautiful Italian Renaissance-style palace set in ten acres of formal gardens, south of downtown Miami on Biscayne Bay. Miami MetroZoo, just south of Miami, is a state-of-the-art cageless zoo, with over 700 animals roaming the 290-acre grounds, separated by moats from spectators. Wildlife shows, a petting zoo, tram tours, monorail, gift shops, food courts and a playground provide fun for all the family. COCONUT GROVE
Coconut Grove is one of the city’s oldest
neighbourhoods, settled by artists and intellectuals.  It is now a trendy district with a bustling village atmosphere, full of outdoor push carts, lavishly decorated plazas, theatres, nightclubs, fine restaurants, and shops.
