Sandpiper's Nest is a charming and comfortable oceanfront beach home, situated on 90 feet of prime ocean property in South Ponte Vedra Beach between Jacksonville and St. Augustine. The house is decorated in a Key West cottage style, with soft ocean colors throughout. The furniture is stained warm pine or painted white. Wood ceilings, faux wood floors, and wide plantation shutters add to the Key West ambiance.

The living room, dining room, and kitchen areas are totally open to each other, and to the marvelous views beyond, thanks to a series of sliding doors and large picture windows. The living room is furnished with a sofa, love seat, and several swivel chairs. A lovely pine armoire holds a large cable television, VCR and DVD, a Bose radio/CD player, and lots of books and games. The pine dining table easily seats six, and the comfortable bar chairs add seating for two at the kitchen counter. The beautiful kitchen, with its white granite counters, is completely equipped including a microwave, full-size refrigerator with water and ice in the door, dishwasher, and all the small appliances you would expect at home. The kitchen is completely open to the living - dining area, and views of the ocean beyond.

The master bedroom is 14' X 18', with a king size bed plus daybed. We have a  television with VCR and DVD players, and a private bath with soaking tub. A complete computer center, with Dell PC, high speed Internet connection, flat screen monitor, and printer/FAX will insure that you can keep up with the office while enjoying your vacation!The master opens onto the rear deck so the sounds of the ocean can lull you to sleep every night.

The "junior master" is on the front of the house. This cozy room has vaulted wood ceilings, a queen-size bed, TV/VCR, and a private bath.

The "bunk room" is a child's delight. The bunk bed sleeps three, thanks to a trundle underneath. We have equipped it with regular twin bed mattresses, which are perfectly comfortable for adults. The bunk room has toys and games for the little ones, as well as a television and VCR for those infrequent rainy afternoons.

The oceanside deck is an important part of the house! It runs the length of the house, with the center section bumped out to approximately 16 X 20. Furnished with a large round table with an umbrella, lots of chairs, and 4 comfortable loungers, the deck is spacious enough for an extended family gathering. A walkway leads from the deck right down to the beach. Because the walkway is gated and the deck railings are protected with vertical slats, you will never have to worry about wee ones playing on the deck alone!

The beach itself is perfect. It is wide and sandy and loaded with shells and sharks' teeth - perfect collecting opportunities. Often small tide pools form, which are perfect baby pools for the tiniest tots. We provide our guests with beach chairs, beach towels, beach toys, boogie boards, fishing rods, cooler, and  beach umbrellas.

Don't forget to ask us about the optional temporary membership to the Serenata Beach Club with its three huge pools! The Club is located just 1.5 miles from Sandpiper's Nest, and offers many facilities and activities for children and adults. And, you will love how convenient the house is to both St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra! Golf, fine and casual dining, shopping, exploring parklands, fishing, and other fun activities are all within a 15 minute drive! Sandpiper's Nest has everything -- you won't want to leave!
