Labor Day weekend sort of ends the summer season. Still great hiking, biking, shopping, and wandering. Relax a get ready for fall. Lounge around the pool, bag some late summer rays, read a book. A little further in this short story, we'll let you know of a very pleasant acre size "central park" courtyard that may entice you into staying an extra day or two when you get here.

Oktoberfest is Mid-September every year and a signature event in Taos Ski Valley! Enjoy a small town celebration of German beer, food, activities, dancing, and contests. Live, authentic German music and dancers will perform. Chairlift rides are available for an unsurpassed view of the fall colors and mountain vistas. Fun for the entire family!

Frazer Mountain Madness Mountain Bike Challenge. A weekend event featuring a signature 5.5 mile hill climb to the top of 12,163 ft. Frazer Peak and adult and kids cross country races. Fall Foliage peaks late September to early October and is a special time at Taos Ski Valley and the Northern New Mexico. Crisp, clear nights and sunny, warm days make it an ideal time for mountain walks, horseback rides and viewing the golden aspen trees as they contrast with the deep green pine trees. This majestic backdrop provides an ideal setting for photographers, artist groups and weddings. The Enchanted Circle offers more fall color as does Cumbres & Toltec and the rest of Northern NM mountains.

September 08, 2007 30th Annual Enchanted Circle Century Bike Tour. This 100 mile bicycle tour trails through the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in beautiful Northern New Mexico. September 09, 2007 Top of the World Mountain Bike Race . This race is NORBA sanctioned and consists of 1-4 loops on a 3-5 mile course at the Enchanted Forest Cross Country Ski and Snow shoe area located 2 miles outside of Red River, NM.

September 21, 2007 - October 08, 2007 33rd Taos Fall Arts Festival. The premier art event of the year! View Taos Invites Taos and The Taos Open at the Bataan Hall, and browse through galleries about town offering artists' receptions and presentations. You'll find many galleries and artists with special opennings and other angles of the Taos Experience.

September 21 - 22, 2007 Taos Wild!. A spectacular international wildlife film fest for all ages. Award-winning wildlife films from around the globe; benefits Rivers & Birds conservation education programs for school children. Location: Taos Community Auditorium. This is Taos, Life at a Higher Level!

September 28 - 30, 2007 37th Annual Taos Fall Arts & Crafts. Various arts and crafts represented at this annual event. Location: Kit Carson Park.

Everyone is enjoying the remodeled solar heated pool. It's in the low to mid 80's. Ahhhhhh! We have a couple new retail shops at the Inn. Santosha Yoga Taos offers yoga sessions and classes.
