If you were sitting in this Gazebo right now, this is what you'd see... just about nothing. That's because there's just about nothing there. No high rise condos, no crowds, no crying babies; just you ... and the geckos and the silent whirr of the dragonflies and your thoughts. Soothing thoughts caressed by the soothing sound of the surf breaking a few feet away leaving foamy edges of bubbling sand where little brown birds scurry after invisible morsels and snowy white egrets vie for your attention with giant blue heron. Right about now while miles away other people are avoiding each other in traffic and clamoring for attention at the super market, your eyelids are starting to head south while Pelicans soar overhead like B-52's and Dolphin chase mullet three feet from the beach and that annoying ticking you hear is your own watch and ... you're starting to wonder if the beer you put in the refrigerator a while ago is cold enough to drink yet even though it's only noon.

This efficiency is located in Venice Beach, Florida. Venice, Florida is a pretty little burg smack up against the Gulf of Mexico. The "Island" is the barrier between the mainland and the Gulf so you're not forced to stare annoyed at the zillion dollar monstrosities blocking your view and your access to the Gulf like the rest of the coastline folks have to do from Clearwater to San Marco. Instead, you'll be able to watch sunsets like this from that gazebo I was talking about earlier which sits right on the beach at the foot of the property, your beach with your very own access, which if you know anything about Florida, is not always guaranteed.

This unique efficiency condominium is furnished and equipped with everything you'll need for a pleasant and relaxing stay. Allowing more time to commune with the geckos. The kitchen is complete with everything you'll need for in house dining. The pool is the second largest in the city of Venice and kept in pristine condition. Many an afternoon we've spent snoozing away the hours lulled into unconsciousness by the crackle of exotic fowl and the rustle of tiny lizards.

As for stuff to do if you get tired of eating, drinking and laying around by the pool, you have the beach to contemplate. You can walk or run up and down it. You can swim in the warm gray green water, fish in it or get sunburned and a stiff neck while searching for prehistoric sharks' teeth. At the far end of this beach you'll encounter Venice's famous fishing pier where the fish bite eagerly and the restaurant at its mainland end serves pretty good food. If you come in the right time of the year, usually December through May, you'll have the place virtually to your self.
