Is now the time to purchase a vacation rental beach house?

Depending on who you listen to, the economy is going to go south this year; or, the economy is going to forge ahead at a steady pace. One thing is for sure at the moment - real estate in general is not moving as fast as it did during the first 3 quarters of 2005.
But, this may present some good buying opportunities. Sellers may be willing to reduce the stratospheric prices we have seen in some areas just a bit. Also, beach properties are going to remain a hot item. It's a world wide phenomenon. Anything, anywhere with an ocean view is being snapped up. I have American friends who just purchased a villa overlooking the Adriatic Sea in Croatia! And.....it wasn't cheap!
So, now may be the best time for years to come to pick up some of the little remaining beach house properties or lots. When you do purchase that vacation rental house, be sure to do a FREE vacation rental listing at:

Does anyone know the condition of Navarre Beach? Do you have a list of restaurants?

Navarre Beach is still rebuilding. The good news is that the bridge over the intracoastal is opened. Be sure to call the property owner to check the condition of the individual vacation rental.

As far as restaurants are concerned, see:

What does the consolidation of the vacation rental industry mean?

The recent announcement of consolidation of 5 vacation rental by owner websites (see below) may not be as good as it seems for property owners. From some of the descriptions on the various sites, it seems like they are setting up a pay-per-click model. That could translate into higher fees than the yearly subscription sites. One thing is for sure - Favorite Vacation Rentals by Owner will continue to offer a free one year vacation rental by owner listing. (Click here to list for FREE!)

Where do I find Clearwater Beach, FL fishing charters?

Fortunately for you, there is a plethora of Clearwater Beach, FL fishing boat charters along with some extremely good fishing. If you are fishing for grouper, there have been some recent increases in the legal size limit to allow the release of smaller fish to replenish a rapidly diminishing gouper population.
